The event was a great success with lots of positive feedback. On Christmas Eve over 20 volunteers helped us to decorate the Christmas tree, made the hall look festive, put up tables, chopped vegetables, ... Amazing people, mainly from the wider community.
Christmas Day we fed about 75 people of which 40 were guests, 2 meals were delivered. Our drivers collected the guests and delivered them back home after watching the King's speech.
What an amazing day of fellowship for us all, but especially for a lot of the folks with us who would otherwise have been on their own. Guests went home with food for the next day, gifts and smiles on their faces.
We were exhausted, but elated that the day went so well. The donations made a large difference to what we were able to supply. This means that there are funds already towards the next time. Lorraine & Sue
